What is Towih? When I was looking for a kennel name I thought long and
hard, looking for something that represented my interests as well as
represented the strength, beauty, and versatility of the hounds. Towih is
a Tiwa Indian word for Willow. Towih was adapted by Spanish settlers of
Northern New Mexico to Tewa, later Taos. To me, the willow is strong yet
flexible, much like the hounds that make Todd and Ruthanna's home theirs
as well.
