Coursing

Coursing means different things to different people. Lure Coursing is about all I do right now. I hope to get out and do some OFC one of these days.

I am active in many ASFA-sanctioned clubs in the Southeast: Vice-President of Coursing Hound Association of the Southeast, Secretary of Greyhound Association of North Georgia, and a charter member of Southeastern Greyhound Club. I have represented Southeastern Greyhound Club at three ASFA Annual Convention of Delegates and represented CHASE for the last four years. I lure operate for all breeds and am an ASFA All-Breed Licensed Judge. I was honored to have run the lure for some of the finest Greyhounds I've ever seen run at the 2003 International Invitational in Colorado Springs and the 2004 International Invitational in Indianola, IA.

I will be posting trial results as often as possible. If you are interested in how the Southeastern hounds are doing, keep this site bookmarked and check back often!

Directions to Old Mill Farm

From the south: take I-75 north to Exit 283 (Emerson-Allatoona). Turn left onto Hwy. 293, heading west. Go approximately 4 miles. Turn left onto Old Mill Rd. (if you go under a railroad overpass, you've gone too far). Proceed through an industrial area, drive past the main entrance gates to Old Mill Farm on the left, and turn left on Erwin Street. Proceed on Erwin Street to the entrance gate to the field on the left. From the north: Cartersville Main Street exit from I-75, turn left on Hwy 41. Go past the Quality Inn then turn right at the light. Follow the road and it turns into Erwin Street. The entrance to the field will be on your left.

**Important traffic information for anyone travelling to Old Mill Farm. There is ongoing construction on the weekends on I-75. Please check the GA DOT website to see the status of construction closures in the area.

Alternate directions to Old Mill Farm (from the south)

Construction has had two of the three north and southbound lanes closed on I-75. In order to avoid most of the backup, I recommend exiting I-75 North at Hwy 92 (exit 277), turn left. Continue straight until the road dead-ends into Hwy 293 in downtown Acworth. Turn right on Hwy 293 and follow until it dead-ends. Turn left on the continuation of Hwy 293 and follow until you get to Old Mill Rd on your left. Turn left, follow through the industrial area and Old Mill Farm will be on your left. Turn left on Erwin St and the entrance to the field will be at the top of the hill on the left.
